Meet Boiling Springs Optometrist, Dr. Melissa Stiling

Stiling

Melissa Stiling, OD was born and raised in Chesnee, SC and currently resides in Boiling Springs, SC. She is married to husband Kirkland, with whom she has a daughter named Addison and son named Foster! Dr. Stiling graduated from Wofford College with a B.S. in Biology in 2004. She then went to the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and graduated Summa Cum Laude in the top five percent of her class with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009. Dr. Stiling completed her externships at the Naval Weapons Station in North Charleston, SC and at Draisin Vision Group in Charleston, SC where she gained the knowledge and expertise to provide high quality diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients. She and her family attend Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. She also serves on the Superintendent's Business Advisory Council for District 2. Dr. Stiling is a member in good standing with the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association. She is committed to serving the Boiling Springs and Spartanburg communities and looks forward to providing your family with excellent primary eye care!


Dr. Michael Siebert

Michael Siebert, OD was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas and currently resides in Spartanburg, SC. Michael graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA then completed his internship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL and Newington VA Hospital in Newington, CT. In addition, Dr. Siebert has taught in Europe as a Clinical Professor at Hogeschool van Utrecht, The Netherlands.

Michael was involved with OneSight, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and The Lighthouse Heiken Children's Vision Fund (Florida Heiken Children’s Program LLC). There he provided charitable eye care to children and others who could not afford eyecare services. He has also participated in 18 international OneSight clinics to help children and adults in poverty-stricken countries improve their vision; in addition, participated in an outreach clinic in Mount Isa and Cloncurry during his time in Australia. 

He is an honored member of the Luxottica Retail Horizon Club. The Horizon Club Award (“horizons are nothing but the limits of your sight”) was given to Dr. Siebert, in 2006, for his work with the OneSight Foundation. This award is the most prestigious award given by Luxottica Retail.

Dr. Siebert is a Board member of Almas Unidas-Hearts United, a non-profit that provides financial and administrative support to abused children in El Salvador. He is licensed to practice optometry in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
